good book for those of us who enjoy the genre
I have been reading Hans Holzers work over many years and have never been disappointed! Sadly, he left us too soon.
If you enjoy reading ghost stories then you should read this book. There are short stories in it from both the U.S. and Europe. Very enjoyable and a quick read.
This is another very good book by Hans Holzer. I will be looking for more books by Hans. It was a little disappointing to read stories from another book of Hans repeated in this book. But if I had not ready read the other book. It would of been a new story. So all was good. Hope others find this good reading too.
Hans Holzer presents some mildly interesting ghost stories in this book, written in his inimitable friendly, chatty style. Unfortunately, as far as ghost hunters go, I find Mr. Holzer to be overly credulous in his approach most of the time. For example, he is very fond of describing an incident occurring "of its own volition" and emphatically stating that "no one could have caused" said incident to happen, without detailing exactly WHY no one could have been responsible for the alleged phenomena. Still, his breezy prose kept me coming back for more, even if I felt it necessary to take some of his accounts with substantial grains of salt.
